T in the Park

Me and my best friends hit T in the Park this weekend in Kinross, Scotland. We probably couldn't have picked a festival further away but the line-up was insane. It took us a good 3 hours to get there, with a few wrong turns on the way. My highlight of the weekend was definitely Frank Turner (last photo). He puts on an AMAZING show. Over the weekend I saw Mumford and Sons, Chase and Status, Calvin Harris, The Courteeners, Jake Bugg, Of Monsters And Men, Rudimental, Everything Everything, Rihanna, The Script, SNOOP DOGGY DOGG, Paloma Faith, The Lumineers, The View, The Fratellis, Dizzee Rascal, Noah And The Whale, Alt-J, The Killers, Stereophonics, Two Door Cinema Club, Rita Ora, Frank Turner, Bastille, Disclosure, Jonny Marr and The 1975. It was definitely worth the money. I had the best weekend but I won't be returning to the festival again unfortunately. After The Killers' set on the Sunday night, we returned to our tents on a high to find they'd been ransacked, jumped on and burgled. Luckily nothing of mine was taken but we were all devestated. It made us feel so unsafe. The worst part about it is that the festival security didn't care. They basically said 'shit happens' and weren't supportive in any way. This completely ruined my amazing weekend!

Updates

I had such a wonderful birthday, celebrations lasted for almost an entire week! I spent Thursday with my 3 closest friends and got uncontrollably drunk, it actually embarrasses me how bad I was. Friday I went out for a meal with the family then -being the workaholic I am- worked through the weekend. (I made sure I wore the BIGGEST badge I could find so I could rake in the tips). Birthday celebrations were put on hold for the weekend until Sunday where I hit the town again with my lovely work friends. I was spoiled to death by everyone, I'm so thankful for my friends and family. 2 months on and I'm still struggling to spend my £120 Topshop vouchers though! I've bought a few bits but I'm not feeling this season at all.
Just after my birthday I went back brunette! I was getting bored of red and having to dye my roots constantly. I love my brown hair so much more, never dying it again.
Me and the staff hit Manchester on Thursday as we had £250 to spend due to winning a staff incentive! 3 of us recently got promotions so it was sort of a celebration! Of course we had to visit as many Stonegate Pubs as possible, being Stonegate employees ourselves. It wasn't the best of nights out at first with a lot of arguments so me and Narelle jumped into a taxi and, being true Missoulian's, went straight for Missoula Deansgate. After talking to a few people in there, we soon realised we were surrounded by other Stonegate staff and I ended up chatting to the chairman. I was gobsmacked. He paid for our drinks all night and offered me a job in London! It's such a good opportunity, I'm an idiot for passing it up. So yeah, Manchester ended up being pretty great.

My Week In Photos

Babysat my gorgeous niece a few days ago. She's 1 in a few weeks, I cannot believe how quick this year has gone!! She's at that cheeky age where everything she does is hilarious, agh I couldn't love her any more.
Found a new love in Red Bull, The Blue Edition. We've sold it at work for about 4 months now and I became addicted to it. Tesco's selling it at 4 cans for £3; BARGAIN.
Went to the first viewing of Safe Haven last Friday. I was so excited, it's my favourite book. I thought the film was great, but I spent the entire time saying 'THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN IN THE BOOK' which ruined it a little for me. They changed a lot of the storyline but it still worked very well and I would definitely recommend it!
Bought myself some sandals (early, I know, but I'm eager for Summer!), I struggle finding shoes my size so I snapped these up on the New Look website as soon as I saw them. I seem to have acquired a thing for studs recently.
Had a productive day today; cleaned the kitchen and my bedroom, got lots of washing done, sorted through my emails and got some stuff for work done! Very proud of myself, need more days like this!

Concrete Jungle Where Dreams Are Made Of

I headed to America in the Summer and never got round to blogging about it. I've been to some amazing places but this has probably got to be the best holiday I've been on! My Dad and I headed to New York for 5 days then to Boston for 5 days, it was incredible. With it being our second trip to New York we missed out a lot of things such as visiting The Empire State Building but instead went to The Rockefeller Center. We also went to see Ghost on Broadway which was amazing (I cried of course!). As much as I love New York, I preferred Boston. I find New York is too busy whereas Boston is ridiculously relaxed! It's such a chilled out atmosphere. We went for a different approach and rented a house-boat for our stay in Boston which I would highly recommend! My highlight of the trip has to be either the Red Sox game we went to (I'm now a converted baseball fan!) or Six Flags Theme Park in Springfield (yes, actual Springfield). I absolutely loved every day of my trip and would go back in a heartbeat! Next on my list of states to visit is Las Vegas, it has to be done!

Wishlist: Monochrome

Just bought these jeans from the Topshop tall section online earlier. I've been looking for some good quality jeans that fit my long legs for ages and my local Topshop has finally brought back Topshop Tall, unfortunately they didn't have these in my size so I'm hoping they fit when they're delivered (I hate the effort of sending stuff back). Found a 10% off code online so together with postage meant they only cost £36.50 which I was quite happy with!
I actually bought this Topshop bag last month but not had chance to show it off so I thought I'd cheat and put it on my wishlist. Having a big bag is an essential for me, I practically live out of my handbag. Found this in Topshop at Meadowhall and decided I need it. It's nice and big, has expandable sides and has both types of straps which are all essentials for me! I love it and have rarely used any other bag since I bought it.
I'm in dire need of some new shoes but can't decide which to buy (or to buy both!) These black studded shoes are from New Look, I have similar shoes but they're looking a bit worse for wear as the material isn't very sustainable! They're no good if it starts raining. The grey shoes are from Dorothy Perkins, they're a bit more expensive but would probably last a bit longer. I'm undecided but don't have much choice as not many places sell size 9 shoes.
Finally gave in and bought a maxi skirt, I love the look of grey jersey ones and they're pretty cheap from eBay online shops. It cost me £7.50 inc. postage, I'm just praying it's long enough for my legs!

Roses Are Red

I haven't blogged since August but I think I've fallen back in love with blogging again so hiiiiiii. Thought it was worth showing off my hair! I dyed it red in October and absolutely love it. I was only going to keep it until christmas then go back brown but I like it too much! I hate how quickly it fades but I've been using John Freida Radiant Red shampoo and conditioner which has helped loads. I would really recommend it to red heads. Not sure how much longer I'll stay red but it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

26-26 (Part 1)

Okay so 26th June - 26th July was the best month of my life so far, without a doubt. On 26/6/12 I jetted off to Magaluf for a week, and on 26/7/12 I returned home from America! (included 10 days at home in between) I'll get to America in part 2 but here are a few snaps from Magaluf!
We booked Magaluf in January after talking about it for months. At first I was doubtful I was going to go as I was jobless, but my parents offered to pay half each for my birthday (best parents ever) aslong as I got a job and saved up my own spending money! Fortunately me and 6 others (out of the entire 14) chose to go all-inclusive meaning I didn't have to take too much spending money. I have to admit, I wasn't excited. I wasn't that close to some of the girls going, and I'd never even met 2 of them! Plus, Magaluf isn't really my scene (I normally choose to go backpacking in somewhere exotic like Thailand) but I thought what the hell, these chances don't come around very often! I can tell you now, I loved every second of it. I got embarrassingly drunk on the first few nights, causing a few arguments with me and the girls I was sharing a room with but I soon realised I was being an utter twat and calmed it down. I lost everyone almost every night due to me being a 'wanderer' when I'm drunk. I do it when I'm out in Doncaster too, I just got for a drunken walk and end up losing everybody (very bad habit). Most nights I ended up on the beach or walking up and down the strip asking randomers where my 'donny soldiers' were; how embarrassing.
Highlights were definitely seeing example live, the boat party, foam party AND SEEING JLS LIVE!!!! Yep, if you know me, you know that I'm the biggest JLS fan girl ever. It started as a joke, and it sort of still is, but my love for them grows every day. I might even do a post on all the JLS merchandise I own one day hahaha (most of it was bought as a joke from beth, don't worry). They only did a dj set so it was pretty crappy, but I fought myself to the barrier within 5 minutes of them starting. I survived the entire 3 hours in a massive crowd with no shoes on (my flip flops were not suitable at all!!), my feet were bleeding by the end but it was so worth it. I fangirled so hard, I touched every one of them, Aston poured a bottle of vodka down my neck (queue sore throat for about a week), I got to sing a verse of Superbass down the microphone and JB looked right into my eyes and said 'right here baby' when I was singing Where Have You Been - Rihanna at him. It all sounds so pathetic when I type it out but it was like being 13 again hahaha. I loved it!! That's me and my flip flops in the bottom corner hahaha, best night/week of my life.
Sorry this was so long-winded, I don't know when to shutup. Part 2 should be up on Friday.
